About me...

When you're a student, you can work as a baby-sitter or in a fast food... I was fortunate to work in wine shops and in different gourmet retailers right in the temple of the french capital of gastronomy : Les Halles de Lyon.

After selling wines to pay my literature studies, I went to Japan where I sold literature to continue my wines studies. I have been a happy teacher with those two topics and many more around french culture and linguistic for 9 years in the French Institute in Yokohama.

My qualifications and certificate
Areas of interest
Food and wines
I grew up in the East part of France, and I can tell that Lyon's region is a real paradise for a gourmet. So, french food, yes ! But not only ! Except japanese food, I'm also an enthousiaste thai food cooker.

I won't answer the question : “what is your favorite wine ?”, I like to change with the seasons, the food, my mood... but my biography can give some hints : I was born in front of the Hermitage hill, but I grew up in South Champagne, later I have harvested grapes in Pouilly Fuissé and while I was student in Dijon, I've spent many week-ends in Jura. What else ? Oh yes ! My grand father was from Alsace and my best friend is a wine producer in Languedoc.

Literature and poetry.

I graduated with a specialisation in post WWII french writers like Vian or Perec, but poetry and late 19th century/early 20th century are maybe my favorite subjects to teach. In general literature, my interest can go deep in the Middle Ages, or around the French Renaissance with Rabelais or Montaigne.
